Our beginnings... and subsequent consolidation Araliya Impex (Pvt) Ltd was incorporated on
the 1st November 1993, and commenced operations as an Importer
and Wholesaler of food commodities such as Sugar, Rice, Lentils,
Canned Fish and other Canned and Bottled Food Products.
From humble beginnings, Araliya Impex has grown to formidable
heights, and is today the largest importer of canned fish as
well as a leading importer of sugar to the Sri Lankan market.
The company has established an extensive distribution network
that covers the length and breadth of Sri Lanka. It's team of
qualified marketing personnel even call on the remotest hamlet
in the island. The Araliya brand is a wery popular house hold
name and is sought after by the most discerning consumers everywhere,
for it's quality, reliability and value.
On the 15th December 1995, Araliya Foods (Pvt) Ltd,
was incorporated as a wholly owned subsidiary of Araliya
Exporter (Pvt) Ltd. Araliya Foods is engaged in the
import and wholesale of Food Commodities and complements the
operations of its parent company.
The company's phenominal success is best illustrated by the
company's turnover and is due to the dedication, commitment,
and personalized service of it's management and staff resulting
in an increased number of satisfied customers.

Growth
and Diversification
In keeping with our philosophy of "Growth through Consolidation
and Prudent Diversification"on the 25th of August 1999,
Araliya Exporter (Pvt) Ltd was incorporated
as a wholly owned subsidiary of Araliya Impex (Pvt)
Ltd.
As its name suggests, this Company was formed with the objective
of exporting the popular Araliya Brand of products to countries
with large expatriate Sri Lankan and South Asian populations,
providing consumers in these countries, with an opportunity
to purchase their favourite Araliya range of products, which
they have been accustomed to at home at their doorstep.
In a very short time span, the company has commenced exports
to the United States, Europe, the Middle East, Australia, New
Zealand and the Maldive Islands.
The Company is proud to say that in Australia, New Zealand and
the Maldives, it has already established a noteworthy presence.
The range of foods offered by the Company includes Canned Foods
such as Fish, Fish Curry (Ambul Thiyal) and other Curried Meat,
Fish and Vegetable' Products, Bottled Sauces and Fruit Concentrates,
Bottled Pickles, Chutneys, Jams , Sambols and Preserves and
packaged Araliya commodities such as Rice, Sugar and Lentils.

Recently, withthe objective of consolidating and centralizing
our storage and distribution operations Araliya Developers
(Pvt) Ltd was incorporated.
This Company is engaged in the construction of a state of the
art warehousing complex of over 45,000 sq.ft. in the outskirts
of Colombo. With the commencement of full operations at this
warehousing complex in April 2000, the Company will look forward
to providing its customers with a superior level of service.
